Can networking alone get you into consulting?

Sometimes, but only if your application already checks the boxes. Networking helps you understand the firm, get noticed by recruiters, build internal advocates and sharpen how you come across. It will not win the offer if the case and fit interviews are not exceptional. These firms are meritocracies and the interview still decides.
